About Driverless Daily
What this is
Driverless Daily is a daily news broadcast about self-driving cars: robotaxis, driverless trucks, driver-assistance systems and the rules being written for them. Every morning two 3D anchors, Lane and Otto, read a short show built from the day's real reporting, with every story credited to the outlet that reported it and linked from the page.
How it is made
The newsroom is automated and runs on one computer with open-source models: it gathers the day's stories from publishers' feeds, Google News, Hacker News and Reddit, summarises them, picks the most interesting, writes a two-anchor script that only says what the summaries say, and voices and stages it. We wrote up exactly how, with what breaks: How the broadcast is made. Watch today's show at /news/show.
The Knowledge Base
The show moves fast and assumes a lot. The Knowledge Base is the slow part: plain-English explainers on how the technology works, who is building it and how it is regulated, written to be read alongside the news and linked from it.
What we are not
We are not affiliated with any vehicle maker or operator, we run no sponsored segments, and the anchors' reactions are written to be curious, not promotional. When we get something wrong, we say so on the story page. Questions and corrections: contact us.
Who publishes it
Driverless Daily is published by GreenRobot LLC. Our editorial standards say how stories are chosen, how AI is used and the rules the broadcast follows; the corrections policy says how we fix mistakes.
